Beacon Credit has been around for a while, and that's a good sign. It also makes it so people don't realize that much of their website is taken directly from a competitor's website - one that has long since updated their site leaving Beacon looking like an original.

Beacon is a smaller company which often times leads to a more personalized service but Beacon only advertises that they provide credit bureau disputes which is an "old school" service offering that can be found for lower prices.

Being a smaller company also help you fly under the radar which may explain why Beacon offers a questionable lump sum payment option to customers. When paying month by month, Beacon charges customers $69 per month but provides what amounts to a decent monthly discount for customers who are willing to pay $350-$400 for 6 months of service (depending on how many payments are made), or $650 60 $750 for 12 months of service. This practice is deemed "questionable" because of the Credit Repair Organizations Act's prohibition on charging for credit repair services before they have been performed. As is clearly stated on the Notes section on Beacon's Costs page, in order to get the monthly discounts, Beacon requires that payments be made before services will be performed.

BEWARE----After an initial conversation with Helene of Beacon Credit I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I paid the initial fee for the month to month service. I immediately gave them access to my credit information in hopes they would start working on my file. I heard from them only once wanting my password. Three weeks later and these people have not contacted me. They basically charged my credit card and did absolutely nothing. I have called and left messages, sent several emails and I have not heard back from anyone. Stay away from them....the are either going out of business or just don"t give a damn!!!
